		A long day in the garden can result in a real sense of achievement but also a weary and aching body, particularly if you are of mature years. The remedy is often a nice long soak in a hot bath. Getting in and out of a spa bath or simply getting out of an ordinary bath can be a major challenge. A set of portable steps with the inner steps hinged is designed to fold outwards when not in use. This allows the person to step up over the side and down into, or out of the bath safely, and yet be able to fold the steps out of the way while using the spa. The covering on the steps is made use of a non-slip surface.
		Bath boards are commercially available, but not for every situation. In this case, the requirement was for a bath board for an elderly person who needed to access a bath which had been fitted with a shower screen mounted on a lower track of aluminium section. The board was not allowed to rest on this track. Specially shaped packing pieces were used at both ends of the board to raise it clear of the track and keep it horizontal. A grab handle assisted the frail aged person to slide across the board.
