The Cost of TADACT Disability Service's.

TADACT Disability Service:

  • is committed to providing a minimal cost ‘design and make’ service to its clients. We do not deliver projects free of charge; and
  • does not provide a free ‘design and make’ service.

TADACT Disability Service’s project cost's are based on the following principles:

  • material costs;
  • volunteer’s incidental expenses incurred during the course of the project; and
  • a small administrative fee.

Before a project commences, the client has two options:

  • The first is to accept that costs will be kept to a minimum and agree to the project proceeding on that basis;
  • The alternative is to request an estimate of cost from TADACT Disability Service staff.  The estimate is only intended to be indicative
You will be charged the actual cost whether it is less or more than the estimate.

Where it appears that the actual cost will significantly exceed the estimate, the client is forewarned as soon as this likelihood becomes apparent, but costs to that time must be paid whether or not the project continues.

The volunteer’s labour, ingenuity, creativity and facilities are offered free of charge, irrespective of how much effort is required to complete the project to the client’s satisfaction.

The Executive Director or the Technical Project Officer is the point of contact for all matters related to project costs. Clients are not to address cost matters to volunteers.

Where genuine circumstances of financial difficulty exist, while unable to provide a free service, we are willing to consider the option of an installment payment schedule on a case-by-case basis.  Our primary concern is meeting the needs of the client.

Where an installment payment schedule is untenable for the client, the client is to be referred to alternative sources of funding including community services organizations, service clubs and government entities.
