TADACT officialy launched our new book 'TADACT The story of an organisation that grew out of a question'.
The question is: Why can't disability aids be better designed?
TADACT was originally formed in 1979 to provide a service to people with disabilities in designing, building and adapting equipment to suit more of their specific needs. Since then more than 6000 pieces of equipment have been produced by more than 325 TADACT volunteers. The 30 year milestone has been recorded and edited by the former Deputy Chair of the TADACT Board, Bernadette Greethead with input from volunteers, board members and others. Bernadette dedicated her time voluntarily over a period of 5 years to research and edit the history of TADACT for the book. In addition, Derek Trow provided Graphic Design expertise.
