We want to give you the opportunity to support TADACT as we support local children with a disability within the ACT and surrounding regions.

You can do this by funding one of the following products and completing the online form below.

kinetic stander

The Kinetic Stander was created and made by TADACT's volunteers. The stander allows children like Jack (as pictured to the left) who has cerebral palsy to stand up. The stander allows children to straighten their knees and bear the weight of their body on their hips which in turn helps hip development. It also allows the children to stand safely in the harnessed device and participate in activities at home and with children their own age at school. Without it, kids like Jack would not be able to stand up by themselves.

block trolley

One of the items on display at a Spastic Centre Exhibition was a block trolley which had been made by a TADACT Volunteer. A mother with a son with disabilities looked at the various TADACT items and then put her son's hands on the handle on the Trolley. He must have decided that he liked it and took his first step.

adjustable height table and chair set

Adjustable Height Table and Chair sets are to enable children living with Cerebral Palsy to lead lives enriched by more significant independence and the ability to interact with family, friends and school peers. A child with Cerebral Palsy will likely spend most of their waking hours in a chair such as this. Having this chair will allow the child to participate during playtime and mealtimes as well as throughout the day. As they may be unable to coordinate their movements or fully bear their own weight, a child with Cerebral Palsy requires specialised assistance maintaining posture. Effective and ongoing postural support in children with Cerebral Palsy is essential to attempt to induce their bones to grow correctly. These Adjustable Height Table & Chair sets can be easily adjusted to cater for the child's changing needs as they grow over time.

stabiliser wheels

Set to bring a smile to the faces of thousands of children, the FREEDOM WHEELS Modified Bike Service customises standard pushbikes to give a new kind of independence to children with disabilities by allowing them to ride a bicycle for the first time. Some of the modifications can include stabiliser wheels, postural supports, belts, foot cups, towbars and modified handlebars, which all help the rider remain stable and supported while they ride. It is the first step towards giving children with disabilities a newfound freedom.
